Maltodextrin is a carbohydrate that replenishes energy relatively quickly, but does not cause a peak effect in blood glucose. Ideal just before or during prolonged efforts.
Fructose is absorbed more slowly than other types of sugars.
Maltose consists of two units of glucose. When you add multiple units of glucose (maltose + dextrose), you get maltodextrin. Because we use different energy systems (ATP, anaerobic, aerobic) during exercise, you do not only burn on carbohydrates. This is often a combination of fat and carbohydrates.
Therefore, make sure that you have enough carbohydrates during exercise during exercise that lasts longer than 60-90 minutes.
